Please join us for a lunch and learn about animal cruelty laws in New Hampshire which will include current applicable New Hampshire Laws for animal cases and to highlight an animal cruelty case from start to finish. If you can't make it in person, participate by Zoom!! 

Corie Bliss, Salem, NH Police Department Animal Control Officer. Corie is in her 8th year of service with SPD and was recently named the SPD Civilian of the Year. She is the President of the New Hampshire Animal Control Officers Association and is a board member for the New England Animal Control Humane Academy.

Tona McCarthy is a former Animal Control Officer for the town of Raymond, NH and is now currently the Director of Field Services for the Pope Memorial SPCA based in Concord. Tona handles investigations of cruelty that are reported to the SPCA and handles everything until it is time to move the cases along to a police department for possible criminal prosecution.

Registration will be begin at 11:45 am, with the presentation beginning at 12:00.  This will be a brown bag lunch event. The price for members is $5, and for non-members it is $10.
